The First Tee is an international youth development organization that uses golf as a tool to teach young people the positive values inherent in the game such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence. Research has proven that our participants are learning and using life skills such as goal setting, interpersonal communication, self-management and resilience skills. The First Tee is more than golf. In a country where one-third of young people say they lack adult role models, places where they feel safe, and quality education, The First Tee is filling these voids through three main programming areas: certification classes, the National School Program, and targeted outreach to other area nonprofits. At The First Tee, young people receive a solid foundation - through the Nine Core Values and the Nine Healthy Habits - that prepares them for life and its challenges. We could not operated without your support - thank you in advance for helping to move The First Tee of Richmond & Chesterfield FOREward!
